Who we are
Painswick Music Society (PMS) is a registered Charity and a not for profit organisation. Our registered charity number is 271069. The Society exists to provide 4 chamber concerts in Painswick annually with educational outreach.
General Data Protection Regulations 2018
This sets out 6 principles which must be observed.
Painswick Music Society must:-
1) Use information fairly and lawfully
2) Collect only the information needed for a specific purpose
3) Ensure it is relevant , accurate and up to date.
4) Only hold as much information as it needs and only for as long as necessary
5) Allow the subject to see the information on request
6) Keep the information secure.
What information is stored
When you purchase Membership, buy tickets or make a donation, we will store personal information that you give us, such as your name, title, address, email address (where given), telephone number (where given). We do not store your payment card details. The Programme Secretary may retain personal data relating to Artists being engaged or who may potentially be engaged. The Publicity Manager retains data of advertisers, potential advertisers and email enquiries.
Purpose of collection of data
The data is necessary to keep track of members, to record purchase of Membership and tickets, Gift Aid eligibility, and to contact individuals about matters relating to their Membership or the activities of PMS. We will only store the minimum data required for its intended purpose. Data is checked and updated annually to ensure accuracy. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Information may be shared with other PMS Committee members, but only when strictly necessary and for a specific purpose.
Secure storage of data
All electronic data is held in computers which are password-protected and all paper information is kept securely. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that data transferred outside the European Economic Area is treated securely and in accordance with this Data Protection Policy. All Ticket Services including JotForm and Paypal are GDPR compliant.
Retention of data
PMS data is retained for not a time not less than that required for Charities record keeping, currently 6 years. Paper records containing personal information will be shredded.
Sensitive personal data
PMS never collects data relating to health, race, religious belief or political opinions.
Your rights
You have a right to request a copy of the personal information we hold on you and to have any inaccuracies corrected. You have a right to withdraw consent to PMS marketing. Enquiries using email or the Contact Form on the Website are responded to on a password protected computer with no further use of the information.
