Huge thanks to Sebastian Taylor and Isaac Williams for their fabulous playing at our recent AGM.
Our 80th Anniversary Celebrations continue with two autumn youth concerts. Please see the Home page for details and there will be programme information soon.
We are always keen to recruit more volunteers so do please get in touch if you might be interested. There are lots of ways you can be involved: helping distribute publicity, planning the printed concert programmes, hospitality and front of house support, stage building and dismantling for each concert, through to being elected as a committee member and trustee of the charity.

Message from the Chairman
Painswick Music Society is one of the oldest in the country. Reaching our 80th Anniversary Season is a landmark for the Society. We are recognised as one of the most successful local chamber music festivals in the UK. This is quite an achievement for are small local charity run entirely by volunteers and our committee of trustees. In preparation for the 80th Season, I’ve spent many hours in Gloucestershire Archives studying old committee papers, uncovering more about our history. I was alarmed to find that only 15 years after the society was set up the Treasurer advised: “it might be necessary to cancel the artists’ engagements and wind up the society” (Minutes 17th March 1960). Thankfully the Painswick Society survived and has thrived since, attracting 100s of world-famous musicians and singers to give concerts over the years to the great delight of our audiences who increasingly travel from far and wide to enjoy superb live music-making. We are also committed to extend live music to children and young people. Tickets sales are crucial to our success, but our sustainability (now as then) also depends on generous gifts, grants and bequests, as well as generous donations made by our Sponsors, Patrons and Friends. Check out our Support page if you would like to help.
We look forward to welcoming you to St Mary’s Church, to enjoy superb live music-making by some of today’s top-class musicians.
